Thomsons Unite!

July 31st Day 15 Charlottetown/Warren Grove, PEI

If you've followed the blog from the beginning, it's obvious that food is an important part of this trip. On the way here I've been asking Aaron questions about the food in PEI. What can I expect? Is it filled with different types of cuisines or will it just be lobster and potatoes? I definitely couldn't complain if it did turn out to be just that. Aaron says that PEI has a lot of different food to offer and although it may not always be authentic, the east coast flare will have me running to get my eating pants on. It's been at least fifteen days since we've had sushi, so today we were determined to get some rice and seaweed into our bellies. Double salmon roll success was achieved at Ta-Ke Sushi!

Raw salmon on top and cooked salmon with tempura in the middle.

A few hours later we went over to the Thomson family reunion where we continued to eat some more. Aaron hasn't been to one in about nine years, so he said it was nice to make it this time especially since it was the first time he, Danny and Kent were there all at once. Tear! There were a few "friendly" matches of volleyball with Team Adults winning the final match. I played on Team Kids. I'll give you all a moment to turn to the person next to you and throw back a few jokes. We were enjoying ourselves and knew we wouldn't have the energy to drive back to Chris' so we hopped back into Hugo's comfy bed and stayed the night.

Kent happy with his bottle, little Danny not so happy without his.

Krista pokes the fire.
