The Red Glow Is Normal

August 4th Day 19 Rice Point/Shearwood/Brackley, PEI

We finally went to some red sand beaches and I only brought my point and shoot camera and had it set on 2MP. It was a smart day. Along with seeing the beaches, Aaron took me on a drive to the old Macdonald farm.

The one thing I wanted to eat more than sushi was Chinese food. Aaron warned me to not expect the same type of Chinese food I would get in Vancouver. As Jen would describe it, the sauce that they use could be used on everything... from fried chicken balls to cheesecake. I admit, it was a bit different than what I'm used to but it was good food. We're both still trying to figure out Aaron's chicken chow mein order. It had bean sprouts and chicken, but no chow mein. Is that PEI style? Chow mein without the chow mein?

Sweet and sour chicken balls.

Dave and Athena.

Aaron hasn't been to a drive-in in a while and I've never been so we made the short trip to Brackley for the 11pm showing of Inception. Aaron did not enjoy the uber salty popcorn. He was so unsatisfied he was ready to go back and demand new and better popcorn. Too bad concession was closed five minutes after I had bought the food. Dump us with the crappy popcorn and leave. Sneaky!

Cold leftover Chinese food.

Intermission.
